Hypori offers users two system navigation options within their virtual workspaces. There is three-button navigation, which utilizes the shapes at the bottom of the screen, or gesture navigation, which replaces the shapes with a series of swipes to navigate your virtual workspace.
This document will provide a brief tutorial for each navigation option and instructions for changing your system navigation option. You can view a video of this procedure here.
Three-Button Navigation
Your Hypori virtual workspace defaults to three-button navigation. In this mode, there are three icons at the bottom of the screen to help you navigate within Hypori Halo.
The circular middle icon is the Home button. From whatever app you are in, selecting the Home button returns you to the home screen of your virtual workspace. The triangular icon on the left is the Back button. Selecting the Back button returns you to the previous screen or application. The square icon on the right is the Recent Apps button. |
| Selecting the Recent Apps button displays your recently accessed apps. You can swipe horizontally through these apps and return to an app by selecting it. You can also close an app by swiping it away vertically. |
Gesture Navigation
The other system navigation option is gesture navigation. Instead of using the buttons/shapes, you navigate your virtual workspace by touching and swiping different areas of the screen.
To return to your virtual workspaces home screen from any open app, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. |
To return to the previous screen or application, swipe inward from the left or right edge of the screen. A back arrow appears onscreen as you’re swiping. |
| To cycle through your recently used apps, swipe from left to right at the bottom of the screen. This will take you through your recently used apps in sequence. You can swipe back to the left if you go too far. |
| Alternately, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen, hold briefly, then let go to swipe through your recent apps. You can return to an app by selecting it, or close the app by swiping it away vertically. |
