Once you’re inside your virtual workspace, notifications behave much like they would on your physical device. When one of the apps needs to alert you of something, an icon will appear in the status bar. Depending on your settings, this may also be accompanied by an audible alert or a notification banner at the top of the screen.

There will also be a dot next to the app icon, indicating that there is a pending notification for that app.

For a detailed view of your pending notifications, swipe down anywhere on your virtual workspace’s home screen (or from the top of the screen while inside an app) to reveal the Notifications Tray. You can view what app the notification is from and the contents of the notification itself. Select a notification to open the app it is from. In many cases, you will be taken directly to the subject of the notification. For example, if you’ve received an Outlook notification of a new email, selecting that notification will take you directly to the new email in your Inbox. To dismiss a notification without reading it, you can swipe it away to the left or right to remove it from your Notifications Tray. To dismiss all of your pending notifications, select the Clear all button. Figure 4- Clearing Notifications |

You can view your previous notifications by selecting the History button from the Notification Tray. You can also access your notification history by selecting Settings>Notifications>Notification history. Figure 5- Virtual Workspace Notification History |

Notifications Settings
You can change the way notifications behave inside your Hypori virtual workspace. This is not how these notifications behave on your physical device (although there is a connection that we’ll get to later), but how they appear and behave in the virtual workspace.
|
Open your Settings menu, then select Notifications, then App Settings. This menu allows you to control the notification settings for individual apps inside your virtual workspace. You can use the dropdown menu to filter the apps you can see in the list. You can toggle the switch of each app to control whether notifications are enabled or disabled for that app. The switch is grayed out and positioned to the left when disabled. The switch slides to the right and is colored when enabled. Figure 6- Virtual Workspace App Notifications Menu |

In addition to enabling or disabling notifications in the App Notifications menu, you can select the name of the app to further control the notification behavior of individual app categories. Depending on the app, you may be able to disable notifications for specific items for which you don’t want to be alerted. For example, in Microsoft Teams you may not want to be notified when someone simply reacts to one of your messages. You can toggle the switch next to that category to disable future notifications of that type. Figure 7- Disabling Notifications for Teams App Category |

Or in Microsoft Word, you may not wish to receive a notification every time you’re mentioned. Toggle the switch for that category to not receive a notification from Word every time you’re tagged in a comment. Different apps will have different categories available. If this type of customization is something you’re interested in, take some time to look through the App Notifications menu to see what’s available to you. When looking in the App Notifications menu, you will see that some of the categories have a bell next to them. This indicates that notifications for this category have an accompanying audible alert. You’ll only hear this sound when you receive a notification while you’re actively connected to your virtual workspace.

To edit or silence the alert (only for that category, not the entire app), select the bell or the name of the app category. In that app category’s menu, you can toggle the Show notifications switch for the selected category to enable or disable notifications from the selected category. Assuming that the notifications for the app category are enabled, you can:

If the notifications for an app are disabled in the virtual workspace, no notifications for that app will be forwarded to your physical device. There may be other settings that affect what notifications are being sent to your physical device. Consult your Hypori System Administrator for more info on the specific notification settings for your organization.
